Sponsorship Opportunities In Hong Kong Cricket
home > about cricket in hong kong > hkca > sponsorship
Several opportunities are available for Individuals and Companies to show their support for cricket in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Cricket Association recognizes that sponsorships are measured by the commercial return to the sponsoring company, and that potential sponsors enter such arrangements with different goals and objectives in mind.

Our marketing team is happy to discuss your particular requirements in order to deliver a cost-effective package which puts you in front of your target market. There are a number of other benefits of involvement with Hong Kong cricket which can be discussed including hospitality at events.

The following HKCA programmes are currently seeking sponsors:

  • Hong Kong League Cricket

League cricket is played from September to May each year and attracts significant local media coverage. There are three competitions, the Saturday League, the Sunday League and the Summer Eights. League players cover the full range of cricketing nationalities with a large number of expatriates, and a large and growing Asian presence.

  • The Hong Kong Cricket Team

The Hong Kong cricket team has performed well throughout the past four years including victories in the Tuanku Ja'afar (South East Asia) Cup and outstanding form in the ICC Trophy. Hong Kong has reached the Quarter Finals of each of the past two ICC Trophy competitions, entitling us to claim a world ranking of seventeen. With the expansion of the World Cup to include sixteen teams by 2003, Hong Kong now has a realistic chance of qualifying for this most prestigious event.
  • Hong Kong Schools Cricket

School cricket is at the root of cricket's emergence in Hong Kong. Without a strong and thriving schools scene no country can hope to improve because young talent requires encouragement and nurturing during these formative years. Hong Kong's school cricket scene is developing rapidly in both numbers of schools and numbers of players wanting to take part. This provides an opportunity for a company to gain considerable exposure to the youth market.

Interested parties please e-mail the Hong Kong Cricket Association for further information on any of the above programmes. Thank you.
