Profile
Simon Guy made an immediate impact on his Yorkshire debut in 2000, claiming five catches, but his career has not lived up to this early promise. He has been let down by his poor batting in an age when the batsman-wicketkeeper rules supreme. He found himself behind Ismael Dawood in 2005, and must have been hoping for a run in the team when Dawood was released, only for the county to sign Gerard Brophy as his replacement. 2006 was another disappointing year for Guy as he made only five Championship appearances.
