Message from the Chairman of the Argentine Cricket Association - Ricardo Lord

Se juega en la Argentina a pesar de los grandes contratiempos registrados en los últimos meses en este maravilloso país, la segunda edición de la Copa de las Américas de cricket auspiciada por la International Cricket Council (ICC) y por el Consejo de Cricket de las Américas (CCAM).

Although we are going through a difficult situation during these months in this wonderful country, we are proud that the second edition of the Americas Cup Cricket Championship will take place in Argentina, thanks to the support from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and to the Cricket Council of the Americas (CCAM).

Quiero brindarles la más cordial de las bienvenidas a Buenos Aires a todas las delegaciones que confiaron en nuestra Asociación de Cricket Argentino (ACA) para la organización de un torneo de tanto prestigio para nuestro deporte.

I want to welcome to Buenos Aires all the delegations that have trusted in the Argentine Cricket Association to host and organise this important and prestigious tournament on behalf of the region and our sport.

Quiero agradecer al ICC al CCAM a nuestros clubes, colegios, socios, jugadores y colaboradores la ayuda brindada para la disputa de esta Copa de las Américas.

I would like to thank the ICC and CCAM, our clubs, schools, members, players and all those who contributed, for their help and support for the hosting of the Americas Cup.

Les deseo a la Argentina, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canadá, Islas Cayman y Estados Unidos la mejor de las suertes en el torneo, que sea una competencia jugada bajo los principios de "fair play" de este deporte tan arraigado en el mundo, y que sirva para el desarrollo del cricket en las Américas y particularmente en la Argentina.

I wish Argentina, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Cayman Islands and the United States the best of luck during the tournament; may it be a competition played under the principals of ¨fair play¨ in cricket, renowned and established world-wide, and we trust that the hosting of this great event contributes to the further development and expansion of cricket in the Americas, as well as in Argentina.
