CHENNAI, Jan 30: Inzamam-ul-Haq was given a clean bill of health after undergoing a series of tests after collapsing during India's second innings of the first Test on Saturday.
Haq, who was fielding in the first slip, suddenly fell down while holding his chest and was immediately rushed to a hospital. He underwent several tests for a suspected heart attack, including a detailed check-up by a cardiologist.
"There is nothing serious. He has been discharged from the hospital and is presently in the hotel," Pakistan manager Shaharyar Khan told newsmen.
Khan said the specialist thinks that it might be a muscluar problem. "He took two heavy falls when he was batting so the specialist believes it might be because of that. He has been examined thoroughly and there is nothing to worry about."
Inzamam-ul-Haq, later told Dawn that he felt a sudden pain. "I felt a sudden pain. It was intolerable. But now I am alright."
Haq was unsure if he would take the field on Sunday. "Naturally, I would like to be out there instead of sitting out helpless. But I am not sure. Let's see what happens on Sunday morning."
