South African Erasmus Hendrikse needs a decent score in Trojans final match at Hungerford tomorrow to clinch the Southern Electric Premier League, Division 3 batting award.
The Stellenbosch University batsman has scored 959 runs in 15 knocks for Trojans - 39 more than stylish Rowledge cricketer Justin Larrescy (920).
But it's unlikely Hendrikse's score will have any tangible impact on the promotion race itself.
Alton have already clinched the title and third placed Trojans can only get promoted if Ventnor lose to Southsea at Steephill.
Despite losing to Trojans a fortnight ago, Ventnor only require seven points to be certain of finishing runners-up.
