SPCL1 Week8 - Calmore humiliated again

Calmore Sports lie anchored to the Southern Electric Premier League basement after suffering a crushing 135-run defeat against fellow strugglers Portsmouth at St Helen's, Southsea.
They were hot for 276-8 and then bowled out for 141, with former Hampshire 2nd XI all-rounder Lee Savident taking 5-22.
All the Portsmouth top order made runs before South African Andrew Locke (88) and Michael Barnes (41) applied the main thrust, lifting the total from 133-4 to 234-5 before Portsmouth's innings closed.
Paul Cass returned a creditable 6-72 in 24.4.overs before helping Calmore to 66-1.
But, minus Lymington-bound Eugene Burzler, Calmore's reply fell away, with only James Rose (25 not out) defying Savident and Locke (3-35) in their 141 all out.
The Hampshire Academy's bid for a third successive win was thwarted when Andover held out for a draw at the Rose Bowl.
The visitors had the Young Hawks at an uncertain 90-4 before promising KES all-rounder Alex Richardson (61) and Tom Burrows (52) put the Academy in charge.
David Griffiths (29) and Luke Merry (21) hit late runs to move the youngsters on to 250 all out (Richard Taylor 3-67).
Griffiths, who finished with 5-38, ripped out Andover's top three, with the wicket of Toby Radford (27) ending any hope the visitors had of victory.
Roger Miller (75) and Ian Gardner (40) took the total to 156-3, after which Andover - despite two more strikes by Griffiths - were content to settle for a draw at 183-8.
