Ireland wedding rules five out for Winchester KS

Winchester KS will be without five first team regulars when they face Alton, one of their probable Southern Electric Premier League Division 3 promotion rivals, at River Park tomorrow, 1pm.

The Marks brothers, Paul and Stuart, Paul Baker and Nigel Bungay are all in Ireland for a wedding, while David Parsons is unavailable.

Defeat for a weakened Winchester will leave the cathedral city club with an uphill task to get into the promotion frame - but do Alton's own ambitions no harm at all.

Strengthened by the arrival of New Zealander Ben Jansen, they made a positive start, beating Hook & Newnham Basics last week, with Michael Heffernan hitting 87.

Trojans parade a full strength side against Bashley (Rydal) II, with Jason Bulpitt returning to the Leckford fold against Waterlooville at Bakers Farm.

Ville, struggling after successive defeats by Flamingo and Trojans, have a major doubt over Australian skipper Chris Baumann.

Richard Wilson returns to keep wicket for rain-dogged New Milton at Rowledge, while Saints footballer Jason Dodd stands by for his first Flamingo appearance of the season against Paultons, who have already knocked the Corhampton club out of the National Village Championship.

Dodd could replace Kevin Brewster, who is nursing a thumb injury.

Unbeaten Ventnor cross the Solent to play Havant II, who have yet to complete a match. All three of their matches so far have been abandoned.
