Sky to broadcast final stages of World Cup

Cricinfo staff

April 3, 2005

Sky TV will broadcast the semi-finals and final of the women's World Cup in Pretoria, after England eased into the last four. "Everyone should see England are a serious outfit," Sky cricket's producer Paul King told Cricinfo.

But England, ranked second in the world, have a stiff test in store in the semis on Tuesday: they will face the favourites Australia, the only team to have won all their group matches to date. On their way to the last four, England slipped up against the other semi-finalists, India and New Zealand, who have both lost just one match - against Australia.

Free tickets are available for the semi-finals, and tickets for the final at Centurion are just R20 (£1.80).

Schedule

1st semi-final - Australia v England, Tuesday April 5

2nd semi-final - India v New Zealand, Thursday April 7

Final - Sunday April 10
