In the European B Under-15 tournament, Maxi Hook of Tegernsee CC became, at 14, the first native-born German ever to score a century at any level of international youth cricket when he made 103 not out in the group game against Spain. The German Championships were held in the Olympic Stadium Grounds in Berlin in September between Pak Orient Munich and first-time finalists Berlin Stragglers, who won their first national title by 185 runs.
