Profile
David Alleyne is a wicketkeeper whose limitations with the bat have severely limited his opportunities. He made his Middlesex debut in 1999 but found himself unable to gain a place ahead of David Nash, and the emergence of Ben Scott led to him moving to Nottinghamshire at the end of 2004 as understudy to Chris Read. He made one appearance in their Championship-winning side in 2005, and in only his second Championship outing, against Warwickshire in May 2006, he scored his maiden first-class fifty in the first innings and trumped that with his maiden hundred in the second.
