Profile
A brisk medium-pace bowler with an open action and a useful lower-order hitter, Austin Codrington first appeared for Canada in the 2001 ICC Trophy where he struggled for line and length. He retained his place in the side and gradually found form, and hit the headlines in Canada's opening match of the 2003 World Cup when he took 5 for 27 in a remarkable win over Bangladesh. However, the rest of the tournament was a disappointment and he managed only one more wicket. He featured in Canada's first foray into the Intercontinental Cup the following year, helping them into the final, but was discarded soon after. He returned to the side after almost two years away and impressed in taking 3 for 31 in an ODI against Bermuda, but failed to make much impression in limited opportunities thereafter.
