Profile
Flavian Aponso was one of the Netherlands players aged over 40 who formed
the mainstay of their batting for some time. He batted high in the order, sometimes as opener, and he was a useful bowler, mainly of offspin.
He hails from Sri Lanka originally, but moved to Holland after
being banned for taking part in the 1982-83 rebel tour of South Africa.
Aponso quit his international career after the 1996 World Cup.
