The Kent and England fast bowler Dean Headley has resumed training following
the injury to his lower back which forced him to miss the County's Benson and Hedges Cup zonal matches and the PPP healthcare County Championship fixture against Lancashire which starts today.
England physiotherapist Dean Conway said: "Dean has been given the all-clear
to resume training after suffering a back injury two weeks ago.
"He has had two scans which have both revealed no major problems and we will
be seeking the opinion of one further specialist next week. If all goes to
plan, he will begin bowling again next week and could still come into
contention for Kent's next four-day match against Zimbabwe starting on May 3."
