Norfolk and Herefordshire maintained their 100 per cent records in the ECB 38-County Cup to inch closer towards qualifying for the knockout stages of the one-day competition.
Both made it three wins from three games, Norfolk defeating the Leicestershire Board by eight wickets at Oakham School and Herefordshire whitewashing Wales at Luctonians.
Carl Amos (130 not out) and Steve Goldsmith (107) shared a second wicket stand of 241 as Norfolk swept past Leicestershire's 268 for five with more than six overs to spare, while Herefordshire piled up an imposing 304 for six against Wales, who limped to 186 all out in reply.
Shropshire kept the heat on Herefordshire on a sweltering day with a 10-wicket romp over the Warwickshire Board XI at Stratford-upon-Avon, while Devon's position at the head of the Group One table is under threat from Wiltshire after they inflicted a seven wicket defeat on the leaders at Corsham. Dwain Winter's unbeaten 80 supervised Wiltshire home past Devon's 190 for nine in the 45th over.
Dorset opened their programme with victory over the Hampshire Board XI at Burridge - thanks to a Milburnesque 141 off only 95 balls from Darren Cowley, son of ex-Hampshire allrounder Nigel, - while a century from opener Lee Nurse (125) was the backbone of Berkshire's easy 171-run eclipse of the Sussex Board at Horsham.
Staffordshire consolidated their position as the leaders of Group Six with a 38-run victory over Lincolnshire at Longton.
