Graeme Hick has been awarded a testimonial by Worcestershire in recognition of his 21 years with the club. Hick, 39, is ninth on the all-time list of century makers, with 128, and just two short of scoring 100 hundreds for Worcestershire alone.
Despite a relatively disappointing 2005, when he scored 932 runs at 34, he is extending his career into his forties - a rare achievement in the current era. His first-class record certainly stands the test of time, with 38,437 runs at 52.79.
Cynthia Crawford MBE, the chairwoman of the testimonial committee said: "Graeme has been an integral part of Worcestershire County Cricket Club for over 20 years and we all agree that this honour is well merited. The committee look forward to an interesting and successful year."
