Adam Hose is a top-order batsman, who hails from the Isle of Wight, who grew up playing through the Hampshire age groups and then represented MCC Young Cricketers. After trialling at Somerset and scoring two second-team centuries, he signed a professional contract in 2015. He made his first-class debut against Pakistan in July 2016 and also made debuts in both limited-overs formats. He signed a one-year contract extension with the county until the end of 2017 but, just as he became a first choice pick in all three formats, turned down a three-year deal and instead joined Warwickshire (initially on loan) on a similarly long-term deal.

His first impression could not have been more favourable. He made his debut in a T20 against Lancashire at Edgbaston, striking 76 from just 43 balls, one of his sixes landing in the top-deck of the pavilion, all leaving his captain, Ian Bell, to crow over "probably the best debut I've ever seen from a Warwickshire player."
