Brooke Guest cemented a place as Derbyshire's first-choice keeper across formats following the early retirement of Harvey Hosein, scoring more than 900 Championship runs during the summer of 2022. Guest made four appearances for Lancashire before moving to Derbyshire on a two-year contract. He scored his maiden first-class hundred against Leicestershire at Derby in September 2021, before adding four more - the most by a Derbyshire keeper in a season since since 1896 - the following year.

His 2023 was less prolific but he still notched a career-best 197 against eventual Division Two champions Durham, as well as equalling the Derbyshire record for catches in an innings - shared with Bob Taylor and Hosein - when he claimed seven against Sussex at Derby in late September. He also enjoyed a productive Blast, striking at 152.34, and subsequently made his first appearance in an overseas T20 competition after signing for Comilla Victorians in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Guest was born in the UK but featured for Australia Under-19s, including being named in their 2016 U19 World Cup squad in Bangladesh before Australia withdrew due to security concerns. He then committed his future to England and joined Lancashire on a summer contract as wicketkeeping cover for the 2017 season. He made his Championship debut at the end of 2018, as Lancashire were relegated despite victory at Southampton.
