Oli Carter

Oli Carter, a wicketkeeper-batter with an appetite for a scrap, made his Sussex debut aged 19 after coming through the club's academy system. He showed his fighting qualities with 59 off 48 balls in his fourth List A innings, almost rescuing a chase of 219 against Gloucestershire from eight down. His maiden first-class hundred arrived at Cardiff the following summer - playing as a batter, he made 185 and 83 but couldn't prevent a five-wicket defeat.
