Clark to miss A matches; Harwood misses PM's XI, replaced by Lewis

New South Wales Blues fast bowler Stuart Clark will miss Australia A's matches against England and Sri Lanka because of a muscle strain.

And Victorian Bushrangers fast bowler Shane Harwood has pulled out of the Prime Minister's XI match against England with a sore back and has been replaced by fellow Victorian Michael Lewis.

Clark picked up the strain, just below the back of his 11th rib, during the Blues' ING Cup match against the Victoria Bushrangers last Sunday (1 December).

In his absence the National Selection Panel have decided against calling up a replacement, so the Australia A squad for the day-night matches against England in Sydney (8 December) and Sri Lanka in Brisbane (14 December) now consists of 12 players.

Like Clark, Harwood's injury flared up during the ING Cup match in Sydney on 1 December.

Lewis will take Harwood's place for the one-day match at Manuka Oval, Canberra on 10 December.
