SPCL UMPIRE APPOINTMENTS 2003 (Updated on 6th June 2003) Appointments shown are as the list provided by the South Coast Panel of Umpires Appointments Secretary. They may change during the course of the week. I will endeavour to keep the list as up to date as possible. (Thanks to Roy Harrison for providing the information) AN IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM ROY HARRISON 'A HEALTH WARNING' We apologise that there are, currently, 39 matches in Divisions 2 and 3 which do not have two appointed umpires. We are unlikely to find many additional officials, although some may return to fitness before the end of the season. Where only one umpire has been appointed, the two clubs are advised to consult and endeavour to agree on an official acceptable to both. Where this person can take full responsibilities (i.e. standing at one end throughout the match) he/she will receive remuneration from the league. Please inform Roy Harrison if that is the case. The delay in circulation has been in an attempt to even up the effects of the shortages and to respond to several major sudden changes in umpire availability. Contact details for Panel Umpires have already been circulated. In the event of bad weather, or any another changes in the circumstances of the match, please inform Roy Harrison on 01962 623560 as soon as possible. Only contact the umpires if you have been unable to get through to that number (one or both umpires may have been changed!!). From 7 June to 2 August inclusive, Roy has to leave for his own match before 1000 hrs. After that time, please contact the umpires direct. During the preceding week he will endeavour to advise you of any changes of umpire that may have been made. (PLEASE NOTE: Umpires sometimes have to be changed prior to the match; do not rely on this list to identify the umpires in your post match reports!)
